FAQ

You have the questions. We have the answers. Please look below before contacting us about questions.

  • How do I book an appointment?
You can call, email, or stop on by. We take walk-ins on a first come, first serve basis based on availability.
  • How long does it take for a piercing to heal?
Most piercings should heal within 3-10 days as long as you follow the proper aftercare instructions.
  • What are the tattoo aftercare instructions?
+ Remove plastic in 2-3 hours. + At that time, gently wash your tattoo (showers are fine) with warm soapy water. Use a fragrance free soap. + Pat your tatto dry with a soft towel and then let air dry for 15 minutes. + Apply small amount of A&D ointment or Aquaphor and massage it into the tattoo (too much ointment will not allow your tattoo to breathe and will prolong the healing process). + Continue same directions washing your tattoo 1-2 times a day and applying ointment 2-3 times a day as needed, until it stops flaking (1-2 weeks). + Once all the flakes are gone you may switch over to a white fragrance-free lotion. Apply as often as needed until you are completely healed.
  • What are the piercing aftercare instructions?
+ Don't play it, don't touch it, don't fuck with it. Don't twist, turn, or rotate your piercing. This is the absolute worst things you can do with your piercing. It is also one of the reasons why we don't initially pierce you with a ring. Moving the jewelry during the healing process reopens the wound, migrating the dirt that's collected on the jewelry into this open wound. The comparison is picking a scab and rubbing dirt into it. This will greatly delay the healing process. + Do a warm salt water soak once a day for five days. Most piercers will tell you to do some kind of saline solution soak once or twice a day. Depending on the quality of the initial jewelry, this can cause some problems. High nickel, high nickel emulsion count jewelry will break down under the salt soaking which will release a lot of nickel into your body. This can promote an autoimmune, auto rejection response. Doing the salt water soak with jewelry that is not surgical insertion quality stainless steel, can create problems. Here at Fenix Tattoo, we pierce exclusively with surgical insertion quality jewelry. + Mix half of a tablespoon of sea salt or iodized salt and a cup of warm water and soak your piercing for 10 seconds Salt water is an aggressive inert solvent that will dissolve the dead white blood cells and plasma adhering to the jewelry, therefore cleaning the jewelry. It also has an iodized component that will break down surface bacteria. However, salt water is a drying agent, which will create a hard scabby heal. Here, at Fenix Tattoo, we will give you ointment to help with that dryness. + If any dryness appears, apply a small amount of A&D ointment on the piercing. +Piercing should heal within 3-10 days.
  • How much does a piercing cost?
$60 and that includes the initial piercing jewelry, is tax inclusive, and includes free ointment. For 2 or more piercings on one person, the price drops to $50 per piercing. Industrial piercings costs $70.
  • How much does a tattoo cost?
Tattoo pricing is dependent on what, where, how big, how much detail, etc. Pricing has many variables attached based on the tattoo, but starts at $60 (plus tax).
  • Do you allow service llamas into your facility?
At this point in time, we are not adequately equipped for service llamas.
